MINIFIX SPINDLE
STERILE SPINDLE

INDICATIONS
Designed for image-guided percutaneous osteosynthesis and reinforced cementoplasty.
Percutaneous osteosynthesis stabilizes fractures or high-risk lytic lesions by limiting displacement and reducing pain. Under radiologic guidance, sterile spindles ensure bone fixation, promoting consolidation and preventing mechanical complications. When combined with cementoplasty, it is referred to as reinforced cementoplasty.
Reinforced cementoplasty with spindles allows for more durable consolidation of weakened bonestructures. While PMMA cement provides good compressive strength, it remains insufficient against torsional or bending stresses. The addition of spindles improves mechanical stability, thereby reducing the risk of secondary fractures. This percutaneous technique enables access to complex areas while avoiding extensive surgery. Moreover, it does not interfere with oncological treatments, offering an effective and minimally invasive solution for affected patients.
Composition
Stainless steel spindle.
