Designed to perform a safe pleural puncture.
Composition
Stainless steel sharpened outer cannula, with a inner stainless steel moveable spring-loaded, blunt tipped cannula (mandrel), with 2 contralateral ports attached to a 1-way stopcock.
KEY Features
2 in 1 : puncture needle and blunt cannula for drainage.
Designed to be fully pleural non-traumatic, safe and efficient due to the retractable blunt tip cannula mechanism:
(1) High tissue resistance : blunt tip cannula retracts and gives place to triple bevel cannula,
(2) Absence of tissue resistance (cavities) : blunt tip cannula springs out.
This automatic mechanism enables the trocar to cross the muscular wall and progress inside a cavity without the risk of tissue injury and the need to change mandrel.
Enables an active drainage mode using a syringe, in a closed system, through the 1-way stopcock.
The 2 ports cannula enables tissue scraping and ramming by gentle negative pressure.
Radiopaque trocar allows a 3D continuous orientation.
Penetration depth control thanks to the moveable silicone cursor.
